WW2 RAF BLOODCHIT - 17 LANGUAGES - BURMA THEATRE. A piece of waterproof rayon with 17 different languages from the Asian theatre, these bloodchits were carried by RAF pilots and aircrew who flew over Burma and the surrounding area. The blood chit could be handed to any natives encountered, and simply said that the holder was a friendly Allied fighter who meant no harm and wanted to help remove the Japanese forces from that area.
This example is in pretty good condition, with no damage or holes we can see. The Union Jack flag still retains good strong colour and graphics. All 17 languages are also in good, legible condition. No frayed edges, with a folded and stitched border to prevent fraying. Some light staining etc from the storage, but otherwise very nice; it has been folded when stored in a pocket but otherwise will display nicely in any RAF collection, museum or display.
