WW2 RAF/WAAF Radio Operators Chest Transmitter/Chest Microphone MKIII. As used by WAAF radio operators in control towers, ops rooms, switchboards, and telephone exchanges, etc.
A nice example of the MKIII chest transmitter, the set looks to be in nice, possibly unused condition. Complete with trumpet tube, strap, and lead. No major issues or damage we can see, the strap has somewhat hardened up and lost its elasticity, but is still very functional. The rubber trumpet tube is again in nice condition, still soft and pliable, without damage. The switch to the front in good condition, marked with ON/OFF. On the back, the transmitter is marked with details. The lead does not have a plug, whether this is missing or never fitted, I'm unsure.
Overall, a nice chest transmitter set, ideal for any WAAF display, museum, or collection.
